Lomary Secondary School last night successfully defended the FM 96 Tadra Kahani with TFL and Legend FM Senior Division Title with a powerful performance highlighting Mental Illness.
All the way from Serua, Lomary told a story about a young university student who loses his sanity due to constant bickering and pressure from his family, friends and lecturers.
Liasion Teacher, Petero Tuisiga said winning the Tadra Kahani title was the icing on the cake and getting the message across was a challenge for them.
Form 6 students, Losara and Mereani said there are people who need help and through their theme mental illness they wanted to show the public that they care.
Meanwhile 1st Runners up in the Senior Division Category International Secondary School said that they were confident with what they were bringing to the show.
Form 6 student Katie Lavan said that participating in Tadra Kahani has opened up new found friendships and opportunities.
2nd runner up in the Senior Division Sila Central School said every school was a winner as all the performances were exceptional.
Form 6 student Rodney Antonio and Automotive Engineering student Samuela Tuinabua said they hope their message of multiculturalism will be taken on board by those who watched the show.
Meanwhile special categories were also awarded last night.
Sila Central walked away with three awards, namely Best Backdrop, Best Costume Design, and Best Lighting.
Suva Grammar School won the best concept award, Best Hair and makeup went to Rishikul Sanatan College, Best Set Design went to International School, Best Soundtrack went to Savusavu's St Bede's College, Most Entertaining Award to RKS while from Kadavu, Vunisea Secondary won the Best Back Stage Crew Award.
As well as winning the Senior Division title for the second year in row, Lomary Secondary also scooped the Best Choreography Award.
