The Labour Ministry has this morning clarified that Timoci Lolohea has no authorization to recruit people to work overseas.
Acting Permanent Secretary, Samuela Namosimalua said under the new Employment Promulgation, an agency that recruits people to work overseas should meet certain requirements.
Namosi-malua added that Lolohea has neither met the requirements nor he has obtained any authorization from the Ministry.
According to the Labour Ministry the recruitment that Lolohea is conducting now for people to work in Dubai, is illegal.
Meanwhile, police are awaiting response from the DPP's office on files in relation to the investigation on Lolohea.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the files were sent to the DPP's office some weeks ago and they are awaiting responses before deciding on the next step.
