Lodge your tax returns late and you will receive a penalty irrespective of whether you are getting a refund or will have to pay the government.
Those were words of FIRCA Chief Executive Officer Jitoko Tikolevu who said people should start handing in their tax return forms now to avoid being penalized.
Tikolevu said this will also help them in the processing of the forms.
Tikolevu did not disclose how much in penalties people will need to pay for the late submission of tax return forms.
The deadline is 31st of March.
