Local players will be utilised for the Air Pacific Fiji Warriors two match tour of Australia.

Fiji Rugby Union's HPU Manager, Talemo Waqa said the tour to Australia will be used to scrutinize the locals and is an opportunity for local based players to put their hand up for selection towards the Pacific Nations Cup, and ultimately the Rugby World cup.

He added that while the criterion has been set down, the door is open to overseas based players from Australia, New Zealand and Japan who can prove their worth.

The Warriors will play against the Melbourne Rebels on 29th January and a week later on 4th February against the Waratahs.
