A Local Boxer is in Police Custody after allegedly being involved in a fight last Thursday which led to the death of a 40 year old man yesterday.
According to Divisional Crime Officer Western, ASP Waisea Kadawa, the boxer allegedly punched the victim. At the moment details are sketchy.
The victim was taken to the Nadi Hospital on Thursday but was discharged the next day.
However, he complained about having a headache and was rushed back to the hospital where he eventually passed away yesterday.
Police are waiting for post mortem report before any charges are laid against the boxer.
