Fiji will be exporting all locally produced sugar this year to the European Union market while we will be importing sugar for local consumption.
Fiji Sugar Marketing Chief Executive Viliame Savou said the sugar quota for the EU has increased this year to around 229,000 tonnes and every year we use 45,000 tonnes of sugar for local consumption and to export to regional countries.
