The Fiji Performing Right Association today paid out $200,000 to their local songwriter members in Suva.

Acting General Manager Mathew Fackrell said despite the tough economic times currently being faced, they are happy that they were able to maintain a record royalty payout level to their members.

Fackrell said they are also happy to provide a small but valuable financial return to songwriters that enables them to invest in generating new music.

He adds they have also enjoyed a growth in a number of areas.
