There are differing views amongst the mayors of the municipalities around the country as the Suva Lord Mayor has now stressed that the Fiji Local Government Association was never part of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
Ratu Peni Volavola said Rajeshwar Kumar should have joined the NCBBF as Nasinu mayor not as association president, as he does not have the mandate of other mayors to do so.
Meanwhile, Kumar said no one can remove him from the NCBBF except for the President.
Kumar added that he was invited by President Ratu Josefa Iloilo as the President of the Association, and he will not resign even though he was voted out as Fiji Local Government Association President over the weekend.
