The Fiji Police Force has raised serious concerns after innocent lives were lost during tragic accidents which could have been avoided.

The comment comes after a three year old boy lost his life after he was electrocuted at his home yesterday morning in Vesida, Nasinu.

Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the incident took place after eleven in the morning when the little boy was left unsupervised to wander around the house while repair works were being undertaken.

Meanwhile, Police confirmed that the 15-month-old baby girl who died at her Mead Road house in a fire on Tuesday suffered extensive burns.

The girl was trapped in her house when the fire started.

The National Fire Authority confirmed that investigations continue to establish the cause of fire which claimed the life of the baby and left five people homeless.

Police has once again reiterated it's call for parents to monitor the movement of their children and not to leave then unsupervised.
