A Trade Unionist believes that there is very little recognition given to workers rights now days.
Speaking at a function organized to celebrate International Labour Organizations 90th anniversary in Suva, Fiji Trade Union Congress General Secretary Felix Anthony stressed that workers in Fiji now face more problems as the World Financial Crises takes its toll.
Meanwhile, Anthony has commended the ILO initiative to increase dialogue with relevant stakeholders on social justice and child labour issues.
The Nasinu Town Council has reminded the residents of Nasinu to work together in keeping their surroundings clean and tidy.
Nasinu Adminstrator Meli Bogileka said people should also ensure that their town rates are paid on time.
Bogileka said residents can make arrangements with the Council on the payment as they are well aware of the financial situation faced by some.
