People have been advised to continue listening to the radio as the tropical depression which is approaching Fiji is expected to affect the group from tomorrow.
Nadi Weather Office Director Rajendra Prasad said people have time to prepare themselves as the tropical depression is currently located 700 kilometres North East of Udu Point.
However, Prasad said people may start feeling strong winds and rain from later today.
Prasad also warned people that based on the strength of the system and it's current intensity the tropical depression is expected to develop into a Category Three Hurricane.
Prasad said the weather is expected to change in Fiji from later today but the direct effects of the hurricane, when it forms, will be felt from late tomorrow then to Monday.
He said it also depends on the speed of the tropical depression which lies about 700 kilometers North East of Udu Point.
Prasad said a trough of low pressure close to the West of the Fiji group will also affect the group later today.
He said further updates will be provided this afternoon.
