The Works, Transport, Utilities and Energy Ministry has finalized a list of retired employees who they are hoping to be re-employed on contract basis.

Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said more than 350 of their workers retired last month as a result of the States Services Decree.

She added most of these senior workers had years of valuable experience which are hard to replace.

Some of those that had retired are qualified engineers and surveyors and the Ministry wants to retain some of them to ensure there are no disruptions to their delivery of services.
