Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said limiting the number of overseas players in local soccer tournaments is still in his mind which he intends to do next year.

Currently teams like Rewa, Suva, Lautoka and Lami have registered players for the Courts IDC who are from overseas.

Meanwhile, Patel has been appointed a member of FIFA’s Audit and Compliance Unit.

He will be leaving for Zurich soon for a meeting and will not be present at Fiji FA’s annual congress next Tuesday.

The Courts IDC kicks off next Wednesday at Govind Park.
