A religious organization has called on the interim government to bring changes into Penal Code and laws relating to Sacrilege.
TISI President, Dorsami Naidu who is also a lawyer has raised concern that those who are arrested and charged in relations to sacrilege get away with lenient sentences when they appear in court.
He said some of them found guilty are even given suspended sentences. However according to Sami people who are found guilty should be given life sentences.
Meanwhile, the hunt continues for a group of men who broke into a Mandir in Field 40 Lautoka and later set it alight this morning.
