High Court Judge, Justice Nazhat Shameem handed down a life sentence to 27 year old Mohammed Sahid and 26 year old Selina Vosavakatani this afternoon, after they were found guilty of the murder of Sarwan Kumar an Architect of Nadera.
Judge Shameem recommended a minimum term of 17 years imprisonment for Sahid who stabbed Kumar 38 times, and 13 years to Vosavakatini who got out the second knife for Sahid to use on the deceased and tied up his legs during the incident.
Judge Shameem while passing the sentence said under Sahid's influence, the two had planned that Vosavakatini was to have sexual intercourse with the deceased for money. Sahid and Vosavakatini were friends of Kumar who were with him at his Nadera home on the eve of his death.
