A 30-year-old man of Yako village lost his life after his minivan collided with a bridge in Nadi earlier this morning.

Police Spokesperson West Wame Bautolu said the post morterm is expected to be conducted tomorrow.

The minivan carrying five passengers was travelling towards Malolo and Police believe that minivan driver was speeding and could not control the vehicle when it hit the rallying of Malolo Bridge.

The driver died at the scene while five other were rushed to the hospital. Three passengers were treated and sent home while two others are admitted at Lautoka Hospital with serious injuries.
