The Public Service Commission said the decision to transfer Lt. Colonel Neumi Leweni to the Ministry of Lands is to strengthen the senior management and organisational capacities in the Ministry.
PSC Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi, said Lt Col Leweni demonstrated excellent leadership skills and organizational capabilities in his previous role as Permanent Secretary for Information, National Archives & Library Services.
Effective from Monday, April 26th, former CEO for Connect, Sharon Smith Jones will be the Acting Permanent Secretary for Information.
Serulagilagi said Sharon Smith John together with others would have the opportunity to apply for consideration for the substantive post of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, National Archives & Library Services in the normal manner.
Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary for Works & Transport Anand Kumar handed in his resignation effective from April 19th.
Serulagilagi said the position of the Permanent Secretary for Works & Transport has been merged with Public Utilities and the incumbent for the position now is Cama Tuiloma.
