The Department of Heritage has only 4 days left to make submissions to UNESCO's for Levuka to be named on the World Heritage Listing.
Levuka Town Council Special Administrator Ratu Napolioni Masirewa said it will be good for the country if Levuka is listed as a World Heritage site in terms of assistance from UNAID and UNESCO.
He said for a small town like the old capital to grow economically, it can only be boosted if tourists are attracted to the heritage sites.
He added the council is seeking support from the government through capital works and human resources in order to boost the former Capital's economy.
