It has been confirmed today that Suva lawyer and former president of the Fiji Law Society Graham Leung will not renew his legal practitioner’s license.

This was revealed in the Suva Magistrates Court when the case between FICAC and former FNPF chief executive Olota Rokovunisei and former Acting FNPF CEO for the investments section Foana Nemani was called this morning.

Leung was the lawyer for Rokovunisei and Nemani but he was not present in court as he does not have a practicing license.

Acting on Leung's behalf, lawyer Jay Raniga informed the court that they were seeking a new pretrial date and that the two accused had just been handed an amended charge sheet.

In the amended charge sheet, the two have been accused of official corruption, extortion and abuse of office and fraud.

They pleaded not guilty.

The case has been adjourned to the 20th of July where the accused are to bring their new lawyer before a pretrial date is set.
