The Termite Taskforce is calling on residents in the Western Division in Lautoka to allow their officers into their homes.
Taskforce spokesperson Rosa Dalituicama said they are making this call as a few of their officers have been turned away by home owners.
According to Dalituicama, the homeowners do not need to be afraid as their 60 officers will be accompanied by police officers and will be given forms to sign consent forms.
She stressed that the surveys are being done to ensure that the termite spread is contained and anyone obstructing their work will face penalties.
The Bio-Security Taskforce was set up after a termite infestation was reported in Lautoka.
