The message is loud and clear from the Gold Coast 7s that the Digicel Fiji 7s team will have to be at their best during the opening leg of the IRB 7s series in Dubai and South Africa.

This comes after defending champion, South Sea Drifters did not qualify for the quarter final and Davetalevu from Nadroga lost to the Emerging New Zealand which is coached by Gordon Tietjens.

The Drifters which is made up of members of the national 7s team are in the bowl semifinal while Davetalevu will have to go through the plate play offs.

Samoa Barbarian will take on Emerging New Zealand in the semifinal while Taranaki will meet with Aussie Thunderbolt.
