Less than five hours remain before the 13th Pacific Games get underway in Apia Samoa.
Speaking to Village sports, Pacific Games CEO, Fonoti Etuale said that Samoa is well and truly ready for the event and they have applied an "Adopt the Country" programme to make the athletes feel more at home.
The Pacific Games will see 22 countries compete in 33 events and close to 5000 athletes have arrived for the opening ceremony at Apia Park at 4pm Fiji time.
The Fiji soccer team will be first to make an appearance this afternoon in the match against Tuvalu at 5pm Fiji time.
