A former politician is not happy with the view of the Citizen's Constitutional Forum and its report to the UN Convention of Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Geneva.

Ponipate Lesavua was reacting to CCF's Director Rev Akuila Yabaki where he said that steps should be taken towards the absolute banning of race based organizations in Fiji which should start from major Fijian institutions like the NLTB and Great Council of Chiefs.

Lesavua said the GCC should be respected as they are made up of high chiefs and if other races are to come in and be part of the GCC, it will tarnish the real value and respect of its culture and tradition, which it is known for.

Meanwhile, in the report Yabaki earlier mentioned the two Fijian institutions, the Great Council of Chiefs and the Native Land Trust Board should be reviewed.
