Winning the bronze medal in the Singapore Youth Olympic Games is a moment that will be hard to erase from the memory of Suva Grammar student Lepani Naivalu.

The 17 year old was part of the Oceania team that came in 3rd in the finals of the 4 x 4 medley relay which consisted of the first runner running 100 meters, the second runner will then ran for 200 meters, the 3rd runner running the next 300 meters before the final change who will then ran the last 400 meters.

Naivalu said there was a lot of pressure on him as the first runner in the relay to do his best for the team to win the bronze medal.

His coach Jone Delai again proved to be the best in the game in the region as he was the given the nod to guide the Oceania team that was placed 3rd in the final.

Delai said it was not easy putting together a team of athletes from different countries in the region within a short span of time.
