Manu Samoa lock forward Daniel Leo believes they need to maintain possession if they want to beat the Vodafone Flying Fijians in their Pacific Nations Cup clash this Saturday.
Leo who currently plays for the London Irish club in the Aviva Premiership competition in England was also part of the Samoan team that defeated the Wallabies in 2011 and the side that edged the Flying Fijians in the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
The 31 year old said that they will try their best to hold on to the ball.
Leo says that after analyzing Fiji’s last two games, they are expecting a tough game from the hosts.
Meanwhile coach Stephen Betham has named a strong side to face the Flying Fijians with veteran winger David Lemi to captain the side.
Betham will be banking on his halves combination of Kahn Fotuali’i and Tusi Pisi to rattle the Fijian backline.
Betham said they are here to win and they know it won’t be easy to win in front of the Fijian crowd.
Samoa is ranked ninth in the world, while the Fijians are 10th.
The Vodafone Flying Fijians will take on Samoa at 3pm this Saturday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary of this match on our sister station Viti FM.
