Lelean takes out first gold at zone meet
Makarina Marama won gold in the 1,500 meters open girl’s event.
In medals scooped so far, Manueli Raoma of Rewa Secondary won gold in the junior boys 1,500 meters final while Ganesh Prasad of Bhawani Dayal College won gold in the Inter boys 1,500 meters final.
Luke Taraiyalu of Sila Central High took out gold in the senior boys 1,500 meters final.
Sila Central High currently leads the medal tally in the boys division with gold and silver each.
Rewa Secondary and Bhawani Dayal Arya College are second with one gold each.
Lelean Memorial School and Nausori High lead the medal tally in the girls division with one gold each.
Defending champions, Adi Cakobau School trail with one silver.
