Further attempts by landowning unit of Yatule Island resort, Nahongo of Nadroga to come to an understanding with the Fiji National Provident Fund has met with failure with the matter now being referred to the courts.
Speaking to Village news, Ratu Osea Gavidi the spokesman for the landowners said they are now seeking a legal solution to the problem.
This comes after the Sigatoka Police advised representatives of the Fiji National Provident Fund to get a court order to take over operations at the resort.
However, FNPF board member and Chairman of the Natadola Resort Project, Felix Anthony said the Fund does not need the Court's permission.
