The Independent Legal Services which was established under section 84 of the Legal Practitioners Decree 2009 to hear applications for disciplinary proceedings against legal practitioners or law firms, is now looking for a secretary.

The post has been advertised in today’s dailies that the person appointed to the post should have the capacity to exercise mature judgment and should have experience in processing disciplinary proceedings.

The Decree allows for the Attorney General to make initial appointments to the position of Secretary to the Commission and other employees of the Commission upon the commencement of the Decree and pending the appointment of the Commissioner.
