Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and the SDL party have filed legal action today against the interim government, the State, the Attorney General, the Co-Chair of the People's Charter and the Secretary of the NCBBF.
Qarase said the court had been asked to direct the interim government that all work related to the People's Charter should stop.
According to the SDL's legal counsel, Niko Nawaikula the writ of summons will be heard in the open court next Thursday.
Qarase and SDL party will be the plaintiffs in this case while the respondents include the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Archbishop Petero Mataca and John Samy.
