Ba soccer officials are calling on all soccer fans to leave their district pride aside and cheer for Ba and Suva in the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League.

Secretary, Iliaz Khan said Suva and Ba are playing for Fiji and not only for their district.

Ba will have top players like Malakai Tiwa, Alvin Singh, Avinesh Waran, Shameel Rao, Abbu Zahid and Jone Vesikula.

Meanwhile, six time champions, Auckland City are wary of Ba as the Men in Black have been part of the competition since 2005 and once reached the final, in 2007.

Auckland City coach, Ramon Tribulietx said they played Ba in the O-League semi-finals in 2013 and they always have been very competitive.

Ba will play Gaitcha at 7pm tomorrow at Govind Park. In another match, Suva will face Auckland City at 4.30pm at the ANZ stadium.

You can catch the live commentaries of both matches on our sister station, Radio Sargam.

The winner of the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League will qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup. The winning team will also receive $500,000 US dollars as participation grant from the Oceania Football Confederation.
