Rugby league converts Alipate Tani and Waisale Suka have been named by Flying Fijian 15s rugby coach Ilivasi Tabua in his starting lineup to take on Tonga in Nukualofa on Saturday.

The duo together with openside flanker Samu Bola will make their debut in the national 15s jumper against the Ikale Tahi.

Tani played in the first five-eight position for the Fiji Warriors throughout the Pacific Rugby Cup competition while for Suka, he stood out with his defense in the trial game last week.

Tani and Suka played in the Fiji Bati team that reached the semifinal of the Rugby League World Cup last year.

The Fiji team to take on Tonga on Saturday:

In the forwards: Graham Dewes, Sunia Koto, Viliame Seuseu, Josefa Domolailai, Kele Leawere, Semisi Naevo, Samu Bola and Netani Talei.

In the backline: Jone Daunivucu, Alipate Tani, Filimoni Bolavucu, Seru Rabeni, Waisale Suka, Timoci Nagusa amnd Dan Rawaqa.

The Flying Fijians/Tonga match kicks off at 12pm on Saturday.
