One of the leading Catholic priests from the Vatican City in Rome is in the country for the 50th year Saint Vincent Golden Jubilee in Fiji.
Celebration coordinator Lieutenant Colonel Pio Tikoduadua said Father Gregory Gay is the second highest priest from the Vatican to visit Fiji after Pope John Paul II in 1986 and the celebration this weekend is to remember all the Saint Vincent priests who have been in Fiji since 1959.
Tikoduadua said Father Bridgewater was the first priest from Australia to be based in Natovi.
