It is time for policy makers and leaders to stop and take note as only hours remain for students to take to the stage at the Tadra Kahani show from tomorrow to highlight issues of concern to them and the nation.
The Ecumenical Center for Research Education and Advocacy hopes the policy makers and leaders will seriously listen to what our children have to say about issues affecting individual communities, especially issues surrounding the impacts of poverty.
ECREA's Father Kevin Barr, who is also the chairman of the Wages Council, said Tadra Kahani is the ideal medium to send out the message.
Nakelo District School is one of the schools who will highlight how some students in Fiji are still facing problems when going to school every day because of poverty, since their parents or guardians cannot afford to provide lunch for them, although these students still want to go to school.
Their theme "Angels on Assignment" is based on a true story about a student who was brought up by his grandmother, and did not have any lunch, and often relied on the leftovers from his classmates.
