The Lautoka soccer team is off to a good start of their O-League campaign as they defeated Koloale FC 2-1 at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Solomon Islands.

Leaving our shores with only 10 players before being joined by the rest of the players in Australia, did not affect the sugar city boys preparation as they dominated the host throughout the first half.

Australian import Matthew Mayora might have not find his form during the IDC but yesterday delivered the results Lautoka was looking for with 2 goals in the first half.

Koale came back strongly but the strong Lautoka defence worked overtime to come with a win.

In other game Amicale FC beat Hekari United 2-1.

Lautoka's next O-League game is against Amicale on the 13th of next month at Churchill Park.
