The Lautoka soccer team has recorded the biggest score-line of the opening day of the Vodafone Fiji Fact thumping Savusavu 7-0.

The Fiji Fact host opened the scoring through Arvind Naidu to lead 1-0 before Savusavu’s Mosese Gadai was shown a red card for Alvin Avinesh to score from the penalty spot for a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Veteran Keni Doidoi increased Lautoka’s lead in the start of the second half before Sani Issa increased the score to 4-nil.

Lautoka’s fifth goal was from the penalty spot again with Shameel Rao scoring for a 5-0 lead just 10 minutes into the second half.

Salesh Sami Bula came in as a replacement to give Lautoka a 6-0 lead.

Lautoka then increased their lead to 7-0 after Savusavu’s Taniela Lavea scored an own goal.

In other results, a 10 men Rewa soccer team beat Labasa 1-0, Suva defeated Nadi 2-0 while defending champion Ba was held to a nil-all draw against Tavua.

Tomorrow first game is at 4pm, Suva takes on Nadroga while the second match of day 2 which will be the first commentary at 5.15pm on our sister station radio Sargam between Ba and Rewa.
