Lautoka Football Association has suspended 16 of its top players for bringing disrepute in the team and they will not feature in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants soccer tournament.

Fijivillage has established that Samuela Kautoga, Alifereti Baleiloa, Osea Vakatalesau, Ilaitia Tuilau, Niumaia Tagi, Apisai Smith, Elvin Prasad, Semesa Nakosia, Malakai Waqa, Valerio Nawatu, Leone Vurukania, Jone Vono Jnr, Arvindra Naidu, Marika Madigi, Krishna Sami and Shameel Rao have been suspended from all levels of soccer till the 23rd of this month.

Lautoka soccer President, Shalendra Prasad claims the 16 players did not turn up for fitness test this morning and this sort of attitude will not be tolerated.

Prasad adds they will be writing to the Fiji Football for a change in registration of players for the BOG.

He adds Lautoka soccer Association is calling a council meeting on Monday where they will decide which players will represent Blues in the BOG.

Prasad says they have enough capable players who can fill the vacuum created by the 16 players.

Lautoka plays its first match against Nasinu in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants soccer tournament.
