The Lautoka soccer team is raring to break their 11 year old drought at this year’s Vodafone Fiji FACT.

The Blues last won the title in 2002 when they defeated Nasinu 3-2 which was decided from penalty kicks.

The team looks good this year with the inclusion of Nigerian sensation Nelson Odaiji who mesmerized the crowd in Suva last weekend with his fancy foot work.

Other players who impressed fans in the first round included experienced mid-fielder Alvin Avinesh, goal keeper Jone Sorolo, and the two strikers Jone Vono Junior and Ali Anthony.

Lautoka needs to beat Nadi to qualify for the semifinals but will qualify automatically if Fortec Rewa draws or loses to Navua.

Lautoka will take on Nadi at 7.30pm tomorrow at Prince Charles Park.

In other games Labasa plays Nadroga at 1.30pm, Rewa takes on Navua at 3.30pm while at 5.30pm Ba will face Suva.
