The Lautoka soccer team has acquired the services of Assistant National Soccer Coach, Kamal Swamy in a bid to end the long 14 year jinx of not winning the Vodafone Fiji Fact.
Swamy will act as the Technical Advisor and will assist former Labasa and National rep, Johnny Williams who is now coaching Lautoka.
The Blues last won the title in 2002 when the side defeated Nasinu 3-2 in penalties.
The side will have players like Josevata Dugucagi, Jone Vono Junior, Valerio Nawatu, Peni Finau, Ilaitia Tuilau, Iliesa Lino and Kolinio Sivoki.
Lautoka will take on Suva at 1pm next Friday in the first group match at Subrail Park and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
