The Lautoka soccer team has created history by booking a place in the O-League play-offs for the first time.

The sugar city boys beat Nadi 2-1 last night with goals to Jone Vono Jnr and Kamal Hassan.

The win sees the Dennis Singh coached side finish in the number 1 spot in the New World National Soccer League.

Coach Dennis Singh will now shift his focus in lifting his side's preparations, as they set a new target to try and become the first local district to go past the play-off stages.

The Blues also went through the first round of the league competition unbeaten.

The side has the services of key players like Samuela Vula, Samu Kautoga, Laisenia Tuba, Kamal Hassan and Jone Vono Jnr.

For the past 3 years Ba has been representing Fiji to the O-league but has not been lucky after losing in crucial stages.
