Lautoka soccer president Shalen Prasad praised the efforts of the National U 20 side despite his side=s huge 9 0 victory over them in the Fiji Sun/ Weet Bix National Football League at Churchill Park last night.

Prasad urged the young lads not to throw the towel after just the first match but work harder in order to get better as the National Football League progresses.

Fielding a U 20 team in the National Football League is part of Fiji Football Associations plans to develop a side for the 2011 U 20 World Cup qualifiers in February in Auckland, New Zealand.   

Zulfikar Khan, the U 20 coach said loss was against a star studded Lautoka side was nothing to be disappointed about. He added that this sort of exposure was a major boost for his players.

Lautoka will next play Navua on Sunday while the National Under 20 side will be on bye.
