The Lautoka soccer team maintains their lead in the Fiji Sun / Weet Bix National Football League.

A 3-1 win over Suva at the TFL National Stadium in Suva yesterday has made their intentions clear of retaining their National Football League title.

Stylish mid-fielder Alvin Avinesh claimed a hat trick in the match.

Avinesh's three wild long range attempts caught Suva goalie Ilimeleki Tukai napping in the first spell.

Suva had taken an early lead through striker Tomasi Tuqalo but celebrations were cut short as Lautoka equalized a minute later.

Seven wins from seven matches, Lautoka leads with 21 points while Ba is second with 18 points.

In the biggest margin of the season so far Ba claimed an impress 11-0 victory over Tavua at Garvey Park.

Labasa had a good weekend as they return home with six points following their 2-1 victory over Nasinu yesterday.
