Lautoka soccer team is now favourite to retain the National Football League title after their 3-1 victory over Ba yesterday.

The Sugar City side is now six points clear on the points table with 24 points.

They remain unbeaten since last year and have stretched their lead to 26 games.

Lautoka soccer president Shalen Prasad said the aim is to make it back-to-back in the National League but still they have more games to play yet and won't be taking things for granted.

Prasad said they will take it one game at a time and has praised his players for the job well done so far.

Meanwhile Ba remains in second place with 18 points while Labasa lies in third place with 17 points.

In yesterday's other matches, Nadroga beat Nasinu 2-0, Under 20 thrashed Nadi 4-0, Suva defeated Tavua 3-0 and Navua beat Rewa 2-0.
