Lautoka Policing District has started an operation called "Veiqaravi" on Wednesday targeting the offences of Burglary, Robbery, Assault, Sexual Offences and Theft.
The operation was launched by the Lautoka City Council Special Administrator, Joseva Vucago.
All work units within the Lautoka Policing District will integrate in order to curb these offences at the same time increase the operation=s tempo.
Nine areas have been identified as Crime prone.
They are Natokowaqa, Balawa, Simla, Tavakubu, Field 40 New Subdivision, Tomuka, Drasa Dam, Natabua and the main City.
The Operation is based on Intelligent and Data/ Stats collected and will involve total of 58 personnel's who will be engaged in this.
