To try and facilitate people from Ba and Nadi to replenish their essentials and start preparing for the first term of school, it has been decided that Lautoka City will remain open until 8pm daily for the next two weeks.
Acting Town Clerk and CEO Shiva Rajan said they hope the move would assist people due to the extensive damage to shops in Ba and Nadi towns.
Rajan said they also expect to liaise with bus companies to ensure transportation is available for people during these times.
