Lautoka soccer team is just a step away from being the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Vodafone Fiji Fact.
Lautoka beat Savusavu 1-0 and now the Blues have six points from two matches.
Lautoka will qualify for the semis should the team beat Suva in their next match.
Inspirational Lautoka team defender, Peni Finau who scored the lone goal against Savusavu last night said that the conditions at Ratu Cakobau Park did not help his side as they could have scored more goals.
Meanwhile, defending champions Rewa has again failed to click after a 1-0 loss against Suva.
Rewa’s chances of qualifying to the semi-finals look slim now as they lost both their matches.
Suva now has four points from two matches.
Meanwhile, Ba beat Nadroga 2-0 and the Men in Black now have four points after two matches.
In other matches, Labasa and Tavua drew nil-all.
Looking at today’s matches, at 1.30pm Navua will play Tavua, at 3pm Nadi will play Savusavu and at 4.30pm Lautoka will take on Suva.
