One hundred and thirty students from five schools in the Lau group who were badly affected by Cyclone Thomas will be assisted through the Vodafone ATH Foundation Grant.
Save the Children Fiji chief executive Chandar Shekhar said with the $20,000 donation given by Vodafone today, assistance will go to Avea District school, Daliconi Fijian, Mavana District, Susui Village School and Cikobia Village School.
Shekhar added the donation will also be directed to providing children with stationery and also nutritional needs of children with provisions of lunch-feeding programmes through the schools.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation also donated $15,000 to the FCOSS Microfinance Unit and $15,000 to the Lions Club of Labasa.
