As the Lau Provincial Council meeting is scheduled for next week, chairman and Sau Mai Mualevu Ratu Josefa Basulu has revealed that he is likely to step down.

In an interview with Fijivillage, Basulu who is currently in Vanuabalavu, said the time has come for him to step down and to hand over the chairmanship to someone else as his term has also expired this year.

However, Basulu maintained that he is a member of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji but that would not stop him from supporting the Vanua and his people.

Meanwhile, Basulu hopes for fine weather by next week so they can travel to Suva for the two day meeting which kicks off on the 25th of this month.
