The public of Fiji will be able to read up on the life of Former President and late Tui Nayau, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara as a biography will be launched at the Fiji day Celebrations next month.
The Fijian Trust of Fiji reveals that Doctor Deryck Scarr, the same man who wrote the life story of the former Tui Lau, late Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna, will be writing the biography.
Doctor Scarr first met Ratu Sir Kamisese in 1962 when he was Commissioner Eastern and gave the Cession Day addres in Levuka.
According to the Fijian Trust Chief Executive, Isoa Kaloumaira, this is the first Biography of the late statesman, as the only record is his own memoir, and would be an aspiration to aspiring leaders of chiefly birth.
Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare will be launching the book on the 10th of next month.
