A 27-year-old man from Rewa Street, Serevi Naitokatoka also known as Nancy was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to larceny and 2 counts of sacrilege.
He stole a stereo, speakers and extension cord valued at $1,000 from the Samabula Shiu Mandir.
Magistrate Aminiasi Katonivualiku said although Naitokatoka has no previous records, the offence he committed is a serious one and he deserves a custodial sentence.
