“I always know that one day I will wear the white jumper”.
Those were the words of national sevens rep Manueli Laqai who will be out to represent Fiji for the first time in the Gold Coast 7s next week.
Laqai said he was expecting to be one of the twelve players selected for the Gold Coast tournament.
The 26 year old Policeman from Navatuyaba in Rewa who plays flanker for Tailevu said dreams can come true if you focus on it.
The former Lelean Memorial school student adds he cannot wait to play his first game.
Laqai and the national sevens team will leave next Tuesday for the first IRB World 7s tournament.
The Gold Coast 7's kicks off next Saturday with Fiji playing Scotland at 2.42pm in its first pool match.
Fiji will play Tonga at 5.58pm and will then play Australia at 9.46pm.
